Where to use it

Pointe shoes, ballet slippers, jazz shoes, ribbons, socks and bare feet, plus hands or legs when extra grip helps. Dancers in ballet, contemporary, lyrical, gymnastics, aerial and pole all use it.

How to use it

Small, useful and loved by dancers of every age. Pair it with the pointe shoes bag.

Questions dancers ask

Is rosin spray better than a rosin box?

Many dancers prefer spray because it's cleaner and lets them control exactly where the grip goes. A rosin box works too, but it can leave powder behind.

Will it leave marks on my shoes or the floor?

It's designed to dry with no visible residue.

Can I use it on bare feet?

Yes. Lyrical and contemporary dancers use it on bare feet and socks.

I’m finally in on Hollywood’s secret

I’m speechless yet have so much to say lol. I can’t even describe how excited I am about this spray. Although it has ballet slippers on the box, these are a MUST HAVE for high heel wearers. I always wondered how celebrities could walk or perform on stage and not fall. This is the secret. It is easy to use. Just spray the bottom of your shoes. You do not need to saturate them with product. Let the shoe sit for about 10 seconds. I would compare it to putting on false lashes and waiting for the adhesive to get tacky. This spray however does not get tacky. I put some on one shoe and left the other without. IT WORKS. I purposely pushed my shoe forward and it did not slide or move. It did not leave a residue on my floor. No more scratching the bottom of shoes, adding the silicone bottoms or anything else. The size of 1.69 oz. is the perfect size to take in purse in case you need a retouch. It can be used to assist with controlled sliding if you are a “dancer” and can be used on your hands for extra grip such as when you are working out or any other need. This can also be used on bare feet. Run to get this now you will not regret it. You can’t really say how long the duration is. It depends on what it is used for, if you sweat more etc. A great product.

This Is Definitely Going in My Ballet Bag

I take adult ballet, so when I saw a spray version of rosin, I was immediately curious. Traditional rosin works, but it can also be messy, and the idea of having a little spray bottle that I could just throw into my dance bag sounded so much easier.

First of all, this is SMALL, and in this case I actually love that. The bottle is only 1.69 oz, so it takes up almost no room in my dance bag. The packaging is pretty, very ballet coded, and the bottle has a simple fine mist sprayer.

I also really like that I don’t have to deal with loose rosin. No powder, no little rosin box, no mess all over everything else in my bag. Just shake it, spray a little where you need the extra grip, let it dry, and you’re good to go.

For me, the biggest selling point is control. I can use a light spray instead of accidentally getting way more rosin than I wanted. The mist is fine, it dries pretty quickly, and I can add another little spray if I feel like I need more grip.

I also think this makes SO much sense for taking to ballet class because it’s easy to use right before class without making a whole production out of it. It’s basically the dance bag version of “spray and go.”

One thing I did notice, though, is that the Amazon listing really pushes the whole “no residue” claim, while the actual box says that it may leave residue on surfaces and to test before use. I’m definitely listening to the box on that one. I would be careful about where I’m spraying this and wouldn’t just start spraying it directly over a studio floor.

Now let’s dive into the pros and cons!

The PROS: 1) No more messy rosin situation. This is probably my favorite part. I love having the grip of rosin without carrying loose powder around in my ballet bag. 2) The spray gives me way more control. I can start with a tiny amount and add more if I need it instead of going overboard. 3) It dries quickly. I’m not standing around waiting forever before I can actually use my shoes again. 4) Perfect size for my ballet bag. The bottle is tiny, lightweight, and easy to keep with the rest of my dance stuff.

The CONS: 1) The residue claim is a little confusing. The listing says no residue, but the actual packaging says it may leave residue on surfaces and recommends testing first. I appreciate that the box warns you, but I wish the listing matched that language. 2) You don’t get a huge bottle. It’s only 1.69 oz for $10.99, although personally I’d rather have the smaller bottle because I’m carrying it to ballet. 3) A little goes a long way. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but I would definitely start LIGHT. You can always add another spray if you need more grip.

My final thoughts are that I actually really like this. It’s one of those products where the convenience is what makes me want to keep using it.

As someone taking adult ballet, I don’t need another bulky thing taking up space in my dance bag, and I definitely don’t need rosin powder getting everywhere. This gives me a much cleaner and easier way to add a little extra grip when I need it.

I do think the listing should be more transparent about the possibility of residue because the packaging itself clearly mentions it. But beyond that, this little bottle has officially earned a permanent spot in my ballet bag.

Very useful for slippery feet

Oh yeah, this was very helpful for my daughter. We were nervous for her Arangetram performance. She sweats a lot, and we were worried her feets will slip, but this spray helped a lot. Would recommend.

Convenient Grip Without the Mess of Traditional Rosin

This rosin spray is a very practical addition to my dance bag. It's quick and easy to apply, dries fast, and provides extra grip without the mess that can come with traditional rosin.

I especially like being able to control exactly where I apply it, whether on dance shoes or areas where a little additional grip is needed. The spray format also makes it convenient to carry and use during rehearsals or before a performance.

It doesn't leave everything feeling excessively sticky or covered in residue, which is a big plus.

Overall, this is a convenient, easy-to-use product for dancers who want a little extra confidence with traction and grip. Definitely worth keeping with your dance essentials!
